I felt the need to introduce this dreamy beverage to you today and also share some really great advice I received last night. A friend of mine that I really admire sent me a sweet message with some words I needed to hear at the moment. Maybe you need to hear them too or know someone else who might, in which case please pass it on!
First of all there were the three simple words, ‘Dream and do’, which is a pretty magical mantra. The second piece of advice was, ‘Source confidence in your dreams, it’s our dreams that create us.’ I couldn’t agree more with this sentiment. Inspiration is vital for living a life you love and being happy but sometimes it can be too easy to focus on the negative and feel trapped in a place we don’t want to be.
I want to encourage you to remember that your mind is a powerful tool and that inspiration is important to being human. These are two things I try to remind myself of daily. Being creative and trying to see or get to the outcome you’re working towards can sometimes be disheartening when it doesn’t feel within your reach. Taking small steps on the days when you feel like this is something you should always be proud of. Being creative is one of the best gifts we can have in life, don’t give up!
Anyway, back to this smoothie. It’s designed to bring some brightness to your morning routine. It’s taste is tropical, sweet and creamy. It feels indulgent and quite special. Bursting with some super healthy goodness and a big portion of greens to start your day off right.
The maca and tocos I’ve added are completely optional but I think they are great ingredients to have in your cupboard. Some of my recipes may call for things that seem a little hippie but there’s always the option to go without. However, I doubt you’d regret using them! The malty taste of maca works great in a ton of recipes (smoothies, cakes, raw chocolate, nut butter… the list goes on) and tocos brings a really creamy texture to smoothies and hot chocolates that I am so happy I now have in my life (as well as being a great source of vitamin E).
