Mood Boosting Cacao Smoothie

This morning I had a doctor’s appointment for a blood test. They’re not so bad but I do tend to get quite light-headed afterwards. After walking home (in the gorgeous sun!!) I knew I needed something sweet to fill my tummy up. Although I don’t find blood tests particularly bad, usually I’m like ‘oh, is that it?!’ once it’s over, I found my stomach twisting itself in knots with nerves as soon as I was out of bed. Spiced Red Lentil Bowl

To solve the problem in the meantime I decided to make a banana loaf. It’s a favourite around here and will do us for breakfast read more

Ginger & Lime Slaw

I am so happy that the mornings are starting to get a little brighter now. It makes me want to get up and get going straight away. For some reason it really does feel much easier to be more productive when the sun is shining. Pottering about the kitchen in the morning is one of my favourite ways to start the day. It feels so good to be creating straight out of bed, whether it’s a nice big breakfast or if it’s preparing something for later in the day or week. This morning it was read more
