Hibiscus, Raspberry & Rose Tonic

It’s been a whole week since I last posted anything here! I have a pretty good reason for the lack of recipes/everyday musings… we adopted a cat! She is the most adorable creature I have ever laid eyes on. We are both completely besotted over here. Her name is Anouk and she is perfect. Being a new cat mama is pretty tiring though. Vanilla & Cardamom Hot Chocolate

Hot drinks are my jam. You can pretty much always find me with a mug of something warm no matter what I’m up to (cue the nickname Multi Beverage McFarlane, because even if I’m sipping on a glass of water/a smoothie/kombucha/whatever else, I’ll still have a mug in the other hand). Although I don’t find blood tests particularly bad, usually I’m like ‘oh, is that it?!’ once it’s over, I found my stomach twisting itself in knots with nerves as soon as I was out of bed. This resulted in no breakfast. read more

Soothing Rose Tea Latte

The last couple of days or so I have felt kind of frazzled and a bit worn down. In need of something really comforting I turned to my one true love, tea – sorry Steven! I don’t think I could put a number to the cups of tea I drink a day. It’s a lot. Every time my mug is finished it gets a refill. I tend to gravitate to the more herbal, floral infusions and limit my number of caffeinated beverages to one a day, occasionally two.
