Raw Cacao & White Mulberry Bites

I am so thankful for my little family. There are some days where I just can’t believe how perfect my luck must be to have Steven as my partner and Anouk as my sassy little cat. Yesterday was one of those days where my heart was crazy full. The weather forecast for was for a lot of cloud and rain but instead we got glorious sunshine. Steven and I decided to take some time for just us, no distractions in the form of work or chores, and headed for a walk along the beach.

Date & Pecan Scones

Guys, I have your lazy weekend breakfast/afternoon tea situation sorted – because the weekend is almost here and I like to be prepared! Lighter, fluffier and more delicate than biscotti but just as good for dipping in your tea/coffee/whatever-you-like. read more

The classic combination of coffee and walnut is always a good idea but I decided to mix it up a little and sub in some brazil nuts in place of the walnuts. It was a good idea.

Even my mum who is a very well-known coffee-cake-hater said that is was GOOD. So, I’ll take read more

Puffed Quinoa, Pistachio & Dark Chocolate Bars

Today I almost burnt the fingerprints off of two of my fingers, attempted a run in the park (shin splints, ugh) but these bars also happened and it was real sunny so I guess that kind of evensĀ things out!

For these bars you can totally use store-bought pre-puffed quinoa but it’s actually quite fun doing it yourself! Please keep in mind that I also find peeling almonds and chickpeas fun so this might not apply to you. But you should definitely give it a go, it’s very similar to read more
