Roasted Carrot & Garlic Dip with Turmeric

I’ve been wanting to make this specific dip for a while now and I am so glad I finally got around to making it. So creamy, full of flavour and versatile. I’m thinking served with crunchy vegetables and oatcakes, smothered on toast (as pictured here), topping a veggie burger or just in place of wherever you would usually have some humous for a welcome change and a burst of colour.

Real summer food is decorated with summer flowers. I got to spend some time with my sister recently, the first chance we’d had for some proper twin time in months. So, I took her to my new favourite place. In the city centre, near the water front there are now four little gardens all next to each other. Sun Dried Tomato Flatbreads with Macadamia Nut & Dill Cheese

Now that the summer weather has finally arrived my fresh herbs are thriving! I love my baby herb garden and I love that I can open the window, pick a few leaves or fronds and totally amp up the good vibes in whatever I’ve got going on in the kitchen. Spinach & Butter Bean Salad with Mint & Dill

It doesn’t feel quite like June yet. The weather can’t seem to make up its mind at all.
